The event was organised by Scarborough Solidarity with Palestine and included a walk from Town Hall gardens to the seafront, where a large bird of peace had been drawn in the sand.Participants carried their own messages on white paper doves, placards and banners and formed a circle in the sand next to the dove. There were many passionate and heart-felt speeches, stories and poetry. The event ended with participants paddling in the sea and flying kites emblazoned with symbols of peace and freedom for Palestine. To find out more about the future activities of Scarborough Solidarity with Palestine visit their Facebook page.
