Earlier this week we reported Scarborough's Aldi store would close for four days for a complete refurbishment.

The store has now confirmed these plans have been cancelled.

It was set to close from March 14 and reopen on Thursday March 19 at 8am.

However to allow access to 'essential products', the store will continue to open as normal.

A statement from Aldi reads: “Our Scarborough store was due to close for refurbishment on March 14 but will now stay open to ensure our customers have access to the essential products they need.”

It has not yet been confirmed if the refurbishment will be rescheduled for a later date.

Aldi Scarborough is located in Northway, Scarborough and is open from 8am-10pm Monday-Saturday and 10am-4pm on Sundays.
