Scarborough firefighters called after sparks seen on top of residential building
Crew members from Scarborough Fire Station were called into action after sparks were seen on top of a residential building.
Firefighters were called to the property on Esplanade Gardens at 7.57pm on Tuesday evening (February 24).

Crews investigated the location of the sparks and after notifying the occupant, discovered this was due to an electrical bird deterrent device short circuiting on an external roof.
Advice was given to the occupant who will arrange for an engineer to inspect the device.
A thermal inspection confirmed no fire spread but the device was left isolated to avoid any further fire risks.
Slightly earlier in the evening, at 7.28pm Pickering crew and a crew from Scarborough responded to a single vehicle road traffic collision on Middle Lanes, Snaiton.
One abandoned vehicle was found by crews which had impacted a wall.
Small tools, spreaders and cutters were used to gain access to the vehicles battery.
After crews isolated the battery, the incident was left with police to investigate further.
