Scarborough residents with aphasia invited to join new support group

Aphasia Support is launching a new Scarborough support group for people living with aphasia, a condition that can make speaking, understanding, reading, and writing extremely difficult following a stroke.

The group, funded by the York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority through the UK government’s UK Shared Prosperity Fund, will run weekly sessions from February to March at Coast & Vale Community Action. It is designed to help people rebuild confidence, practise communication, reconnect with loved ones, and take part in everyday life following a stroke.
