As the only basketball club in the local area, the club aims to promote participation in sport, physical wellbeing, teamwork, confidence, and community engagement through grassroots basketball development and competitive opportunities.
Natalie, from Scarborough Seahawks said: “The Funding we have received will help support the sustainability of the club by contributing towards essential running costs, training opportunities and equipment, helping to keep basketball accessible and affordable for local families.
“The club is committed to ensuring young people in Scarborough continue to have access to meaningful sporting opportunities and progression pathways close to home.”
Proudfoot Director, Valerie Aston said “As a niche grassroots sport club, Scarborough Seahawks face ongoing equipment and facility challenges.
“It is important we, and other local businesses, support this group and the opportunities it offers.
“It was super to see the young people in action, working together and enjoying the game of basketball.”
