Anne Hegerty, better known as the Governess from ITV’s The Chase and actor, presenter, and TV personality Jake Quickenden, joined the rest of the cast to bring smiles to the faces of those of those on the ward.
Rachel Nicholson from Pantomime Producers Tony Peers Ltd said: “Traditionally we do this every year, and it went quite well, despite most of the children having been discharged that morning!
"It was still morale boosting for staff though!
"The panto is going well, we’re in the middle of school performances at the moment and it feels as though we can finally say Christmas is here!”
The magical production, which promises sensational costumes, sparkling sets, and great songs to sing along runs until January 1.
