Scarborough woman scoops £33k car and cash prize in emotional video call surprise
A Scarborough woman has been left feeling “over the moon” after winning a £33,000 car and cash prize bundle.
Helen Atkinson, from Scarborough, won a Mini Cooper S Sport alongside a £10,000 cash prize courtesy of BOTB’s online competition.

The 43-year-old, who is deaf, received the incredible news via a surprise video call from BOTB presenter Christian Williams.
Her sister, Sarah, joined the call and signed everything Christian said to ensure she didn’t miss a moment of the reveal.
The emotional moment was made even more special as Helen - a regular viewer of BOTB winner videos - realised she had become one of them.
Helen said: “I can’t believe I have won, I am over the moon! One day I kept hoping it would be me.
“I felt a mix of relief, excitement and a bit of ‘is this actually real?’ at first.
“Then it quickly turned into thinking about how to make the most of it, and a family holiday for the five of us feels like the perfect choice.”
Christian said: “It was such a magical moment. Seeing Helen’s reaction as it all sank in and having her sister there signing everything made it really special.
“You could tell how much it meant to her. She was absolutely over the moon, and rightly so.
“The car is fantastic. It’s stylish, fun to drive and packed with personality. A brilliant prize to go with the cash.”
Founded in 1999, BOTB hands over the keys to a dream car each week, while also offering players the option of a cash alternative and a range of lifestyle prizes.
