Task force dealing with human trafficking and illegal labour called out to Filey beach
North Yorkshire Police joined officers from the Gangmasters and Labour Abuse Authority (GLAA) after concerns about some people gathering shellfish.
A spokesman for the police said: "Our investigations are ongoing and any necessary action will be made public in due course."

Anyone with information about possible illegal shellfish gathering on coastlines across the UK should contact the GLAA's intelligence team on 0800 4320804 or email [email protected].

The GLAA's role is to protect vulnerable and exploited workers.
