'The Den' at Scarborough's Lindhead School celebrates 25 years

The Den is situated on Lindhead School's site, but is an independent organisation with a separate management committee.

It provides out of school childcare for children aged 4-12; with breakfast & after school clubs during term time as well as school holiday sessions.

Club leader Elaine Sutcliffe said: “At Lindhead Out of School Club we are celebrating being open 25 years this year.

“Our staff thoroughly enjoy looking after the children and getting to know the families, and have seen many come and go over the years.

“Some staff are even looking after children of those they originally looked after.

“We are now on a mission for help and funding for a new build in order to enjoy another 25 years.”
