Traffic lights in place north of Cloughton due to burst water main

Earlier today, Monday May 30, the road between Scarborough and Whitby was closed north of Cloughton due to a burst water main.

Yorkshire Water closed the road just south of The Falcon Inn pub, between Helwath Road and Gowland Road.

The road is now open, but two-way traffic lights are in place and delays are possible.

The road closed yesterday, Sunday May 29 and is expected to open again at midnight on Wednesday June 1.

The road is closed on Cloughton bank due a burst water main.
