Vamp up your fang-tastic costumes to win return tickets to two popular North Yorkshire visitor attractions

People are being urged to wear fang-tastic outfits while using the North Yorkshire Moors Railway and Whitby Abbey.

The North Yorkshire Moors Railway (NYMR) and Whitby Abbey have joined forces for a spooktacular day out this half term (Saturday October 24 to Sunday, November 1).

Any guests that travel on the heritage railway and the abbey in fancy dress are being asked to share a #spookyselfie and tag in both attractions on social media.

By doing this they could be in with a chance to win not one, but two family days out.

The attractions will pick their favourite spooky selfie and the winner will receive a free family pass to revisit both destinations next year.

Laura Strangeway, head of marketing at NYMR, said: “We’re really excited to team up with Whitby Abbey to offer visitors double the spooky fun this Halloween.

“We just love seeing the railway decked out for the spookiest time of the year and can’t wait to see our visitors in their creepy costumes! We really appreciate the support our loyal guests have shown during the pandemic months, and wanted to offer something back; so don those ghoulish costumes, snap a selfie and visit two of our county’s top attractions for heaps of Halloween fun this half term.”
