Mr Ian Hill discovered the herd in his back garden on Sunday June 6.

His neighbour, Cara Wood, helped him to return them to safety in Peasholm Park.

Cara explained her cat had cornered the ducks in Mr Hill's garden and even when she had removed her cat, they were wary to open the gate and let the ducks make their own way home as there were so many cats in the area.

Cara then decided to put the ducklings in a carrier and lead the mother duck back to the park, stopping traffic along the way.

They then reunited the mum with her brood in Peasholm Glen where they quickly made their way into Peasholm Beck.

Later in the day the ducks were spotted further down the Beck towards Peasholm Lake.
