‘Wave of Light’ event to take place in Bridlington as part of Baby Loss Awareness Week
Hannah Rose Funeral Services will be hosting its third ‘Wave of Light’ event in Bridlington on Tuesday, October 15 as part of Baby Loss Awareness Week (October 9-15).
The commemoration is a global event where, at 7pm, people light candles to remember lost babies, creating a Wave of Light across the globe.

The gathering will take place at Adams Harbour Cafe, with people asked to be at the venue for 6.30pm.
Claire Louise Wood, one of the event’s organisers, said: “It's an incredibly special moment for bereaved families to honour their babies and connect with others who understand their loss.
"Baby Loss Awareness Week, now in its 22nd year, not only provides a space for remembrance but also raises awareness of the impact of pregnancy and baby loss, as well as the importance of bereavement support.
“This event means a great deal to me personally – I lost my little boy Ruben at 16 weeks in March 2021, and ever since, I’ve been supported by Hannah Rose Funeral Services.
"This is our way of honouring his memory and offering comfort to others in our community.
"Enjoy warm drinks and cake as we create a safe space to connect with others who understand.
"The Wave of Light is a special opportunity to reflect, share stories, and support each other in remembrance. Whether you’ve experienced a loss or wish to support those who have, everyone is welcome to be part of this meaningful evening.
"Let's light up the night with our shared love and remembrance.”
