'Well done, Eleanor!': Staithes and Runswick RNLI celebrates crew member's achievement
Staithes and Runswick RNLI are celebrating the hard-work and success of one of their crew members after she passed her Tier 2 assessment.
Eleanor Jackson, who is a crew member alongside her father Lee Jackson, has successfully passed her Tier 2 assessment with the RNLI. Achieving Tier 2 status means demonstrating the knowledge and practical skills needed to take on a greater range of duties on the lifeboat. This includes areas such as helming, towing, man overboard procedures, emergency drills and maritime theory. A Staithes and Runswick RNLI spokesperson said: “Our crew put a great deal of time and effort into training to ensure they’re ready to respond when the pager goes off.

"The support of our RNLI donors helps make that training possible, providing the equipment and resources needed to keep our volunteers prepared. Well done, Eleanor!”
