The well-loved Scalby pub is at the hub of the village and residents have been waiting for news of its future.

New landlords have been found to take over and essential repairs and maintenance are planned for the coming weeks.

It has now been confirmed that the pub will reopen at 5pm on Valentine's Day with music by rock duo The Beale Street Brothers.

New licensees James and Stacey look forward to welcoming old and new faces to the pub.
