Police release CCTV of woman following suspected attempted fraud in Scarborough

Police are asking for the public's attempt in identifying a woman over a suspected attempted fraud in Scarborough last year.

She was captured by CCTV cameras going into the Westborough branch of the Halifax bank in Scarborough around 4.15pm on Friday June 23 2017.

An attempt was made to add a name to a bank account, using suspected fraudulent identification.

If successful, access would have been gained to several thousands of pounds.

Despite extensive enquiries, police have been unable to identify the woman and are now appealing for to the public for help.

Anyone who recognises the woman is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option 2 and ask to speak to Claire Wilson.
