Conservative Robert Goodwill elected Scarborough and Whitby MP for fifth term

Conservative Robert Goodwill has been elected MP for Scarborough and Whitby for a fifth term.

Mr Goodwill, who was first elected in 2005, has retained his seat with a comfortable majority of 10,270 votes.

Labour's Hugo Fearnley came second in the race, followed by Liberal Democrat Robert Graham Lockwood and Yorkshire Party candidate Lee Derrick.
