The borough and town councils have announced they will work together to create a Local Area Action Plan.

Cllr Steve Siddons, Leader of Scarborough Borough Council said: “I am very pleased to be in a position to announce the start of a much closer working relationship with Filey Town Council and I am excited to work to develop a clear plan of action for meaningful investment in the town.

“At the heart of the plan will be making sure we ‘get the basics right’ and a quick win to secure the foundations of this new partnership will be to deliver a joint week of action and spring clean where we will spruce up the area ready for the season.
