Scarborough and Whitby MP Alison Hume launches 'one stop shop' new website
Alison Hume MP has launched a new website detailing her work across Scarborough, Whitby and the surrounding villages.
Designed to keep people up to date with her campaigns, community events and constituency visits, the site also provides a wealth of information on Ms Hume’s activities in Westminster.

Now live and online, it acts as a ‘One stop shop’ for anyone who wants to learn more about how Ms Hume represents her local area or requires signposting towards a range of key services.
Ms Hume said: “I’m delighted to launch my website, which provides another way for people who live in Scarborough, Whitby and the villages to get in touch with me and let me know about the things which matter to them.
“Being accessible and easy to reach is an absolute priority for me, because I was elected to be Scarborough and Whitby’s voice in Westminster, not Westminster’s voice in Scarborough and Whitby.
“That’s why, as well as wanting to hear from the people who live in this wonderful part of the world, I also want them to know how I’m acting on their behalf in Parliament.”
Visitors to the website – alisonhume.com – can also sign-up to receive a regular newsletter about Ms Hume’s efforts on behalf of constituents.
There are also portals which enable them to request assistance with problems or book appointments at one of her regular advice surgeries.
Ms Hume added: “The website will enable me to continue improving how I communicate with the people I’m here to serve.
“I’m aware that not everyone has access to the internet or enjoys using it, which is why I’m also committed to holding regular surgeries across Scarborough and Whitby and opened an easily accessible office in the heart of Scarborough last year.”
