Proudfoot’s ‘Meet the Producer’ Christmas market showcased seasonal food and drink from a wide variety of local suppliers, including Anna’s Happy Trotters, Bradley’s Bakery, Johnson’s Fresh Fish, Original Baker, Hearts and Flowers, Taylor’s of Harrogate, McCain and many more, allowing customers to sample quality local produce and speak to the suppliers behind the products before placing their orders for Christmas.

Customers also had the opportunity to try tempting tipples such as mulled wine, champagne and prosecco alongside samples of Co-op mince pies, whilst a Making a Difference Locally table took pride of place by the main entrance offering giveaways and selling raffle tickets to raise funds for local causes.

Valerie Aston, co-director of the Proudfoot Group, said: “Following on from the success of our annual Yorkshire Day events, this year we decided to hold a similar event but with a Christmas theme that also gave customers the opportunity to try some fantastic local produce from local suppliers and place orders with them ahead of the big day.

“There was a wonderful atmosphere in-store and we hope the event inspired customers to trade up and try something new this Christmas.”
