At the start of school on Monday morning they were all ready with banners and posters to go out and cheer on the BBC One Show Rickshaw Challenge as it passed Scarborough College on Filey Road.

The children could not believe their eyes when, during their mid-morning break, Pudsey joined them in the playground for high-fives and hand-shakes.

They were thrilled that Pudsey Bear had returned to the school to thank them all for the fantastic support they had shown.

As well as joining in at playtime Pudsey brought a collection bucket and the children were able to make their donations as well as wave their flags and show Pudsey their banners.

This Friday (18 November) the school is planning further fundraising with children and staff encouraged to wear ‘Spots for School’ for a donation.

The children and their parents are also baking cakes and biscuits for a cake sale on Friday, all to raise further funds for the Children in Need appeal.
