A scaffolding firm from Whitby is looking to scale new heights after being nominated for a national award.

The company has made the shortlist out of a record number of entries in the

It had to make a presentation and showcase some of its projects to be in with a chance of making the select few.

Because of the nature of the projects that Tiger Scaffolding takes on a lot of its work is done outside of Whitby and they can be contracted to jobs anywhere between Newcastle and Hull.

For example, the two projects pictured show the specialist scaffolding which had to be put up to allow works to be done at Springhead pumping station in Hull and the North Yorkshire County Council offices in Northallerton.

Tiger Scaffolding will now have face to face judging in front of a 57-strong panel drawn from the largest construction firms in the UK and leaders of the country’s major construction projects such as Network Rail and Canary Wharf contractors.
