The team were alerted by the Yorkshire Ambulance Service at 2.21pm yesterday to help move a woman who had fallen down a bank whilst out walking in Dove Dale on the approach to the Bridestones.

The woman was carried back to the car park at Stain Dale by rescuers on a bell stretcher before being transferred to an ambulance and taken to hospital.

Twelve rescuers were deployed for two and a half hours.
