Scarborough man Marcin Derewecki jailed for breaching sex offenders’ register

Marcin Derewecki, 42, of Hildenley Close, was arrested by North Yorkshire Police on February 7 this year.

Specialist public protection officers were able to prove that Derewecki had been using another name online and another email address which he had failed to notify the police about.

He admitted both offences and at York Crown Court on Friday was jailed for eight months and given an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order.

Derewecki received a suspended prison sentence in 2016 in relation to indecent images of children offences.
