Scarborough RNLI rescue two people cut off by the sea
Two people were rescued after being cut off by the tide near Scarborough.
Scarborough RNLI’s inshore lifeboat launched just after 3pm yesterday to help the pair at Cornelian Bay.
Both were taken on board the rescue craft and taken to the lifeboat station.
Lifeboat Operations Manager Andrew Volans said: “We advise everyone walking on the coast to please be aware of the tide times, which are published online, and plan your route carefully."
If you see anyone injured or in distress on the coast, dial 999 and ask for the coastguard.
