Scarborough RNLI rescues fishing boat after engine fire

Scarborough RNLI have rescued a fishing boat after it got into difficulty this morning.

The lifeboat was launched at around 7.30am this morning to rescue the stranded fishing vessel nine miles offshore.

The fishing boats crew had extinguished the fire before the all-weather Shannon lifeboat arrived.

The RNLI towed the stranded fishing boat back to the harbour by 9.40am.
