Scarborough soprano Victoria Wright joined by guests for festive concert at St Martin's on the Hill

In the past six months, Victoria has performed solo concerts at Beverley and Hull Minster, sang at the Yorkshire Bloom Awards and performed Last Night of the Proms concerts alongside Buckrose Concert Band.

She has also been performing her monthly lunchtime concerts in Beverley, Filey, Scarborough and Kirkbymoorside.

Billed as a Christmas Serenade, her festive concert is at St Martin's on the Hill, Ramshill, Scarborough, on Saturday, December 13 at 7.30pm.

Victoria will be performing arias, songs and duets from opera favourites Carmen and the Marriage of Figero alongside musical selections from Les Misérables, Phantom of the Opera, West Side Story and Porgy and Bess.

“Festive treats thrown in as well,” she said.

One of the guest soloists is the former vicar of St Marks parish, Newby, the Rev Mike Leigh. The Anglican priest began his career working professionally with Opera North as a baritone and is now running workshops and singing weekends.

Victoria's other guest soloist is Dan Nichol, a rising talent who has performed as a resident artist for Bradford Bulls and Bradford City Club.

“I’m so excited to perform duets and trios with Mike and Dan, they are amazing vocalists with contrasting styles and it promises to be a very special night,” said Victoria.

The event will also introduced singers from her vocal school, the Voice Lounge.

They will be adding their own festive touch with their rendition of Walking in the Air from The Snowman.
