Scarborough Spa announces its summer shows for 2016

Combined ticket sales for The Best of Thoroughly Modern Musicals and The Billy Pearce Laughter Show were up by a massive 62% against the previous year.

The big crowd pleaser for this year was Yorkshire’s comedy hero Billy Pearce. As a new twist to this year’s programming, Billy delivered a high-energy, all singing and dancing show night after night. Together with his talented cast there was not one night that did not disappoint, with countless comments from the audience asking for him to come back next year.

These audience members will not be disappointed, as it has now been revealed that Billy Pearce will be making a welcome return to The Spa for the 2016 summer season!

Tony Peers Productions will also be bringing a brand new show which combines the very best of musical numbers with fabulous songs from the movies. With two extremely exciting shows in the making, 2016 is sure to be bigger and better! Full details and on sale dates are due to be announced.

Tony Peers said “We have built the success of our shows on team work and this year has been no exception, starting with the front of house and marketing teams from The Spa, creative input from director Linda Newport, choreographer Kim Oakley and of course our wonderful cast, Matt Dallen, Stuart Metcalfe, Ellie Carroll and Rosanne Priest. Not forgetting the icing on this year’s cake - Yorkshires own king of comedy Billy Pearce! They have all combined to produce our most successful shows to date.
