Pupils at Northstead Primary School last week held a tea party as part of Fairtrade Fortnight.

Parents and pupils were invited to drink Fairtrade tea, coffee, orange squash and sample biscuits and cakes baked by the school’s cook.

£171 was made at the event, which was donated to Oxfam, while Newlands Co-op and Proudfoots supermarket donated items for a raffle.

The local Fairtrade group also had a stall for people to buy Fairtrade products.
