The pupils and staff at Hertford Vale CE Primary School in Staxton are celebrating a positive Oftsed inspection.
The inspector judged the school to be ‘good’ in all areas and described the school as a ‘very welcoming and happy school where each pupil is known and valued for their individuality’.
The recent inspection looked at all areas of school life saying that the school ‘is a hive of activity, with interested, enthusiastic pupils and staff’.
The school was complimented for its rich and varied curriculum as well as being a safe place where children and parents say they are well looked after and cared for.
Headteacher Andrew Barber said: “We are delighted to have received this judgement. The children welcomed the inspector into their school and were able to talk confidently about their life here. The judgement is also recognition of all the hard work from the staff and governors.
“Based on this positive outcome, we will continue to give the children in our school the best start in life we can by striving for excellence in all areas.”
