Treacherous conditions on Sutton Bank
The A170 has reopened at Sutton bank but police have warned to only use the road if absolutely necessary.
The road was closed earlier today and has now reopened but police have advised motorists to only use the route if necessary.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said the road is open and it is passable but it's treacherous at the top. We urge motorists not to use it unless they really have to.
