'Underwear pervert' harassed six women: court list

Six women were subjected to harassment by a 57-year-old man who sent each of them a number of unwanted text messages of a sexual nature regarding their underwear.

Trevor Cuthbertson, of Greengate, Malton, was fined by Scarborough magistrates over the harassment of the six women, who were named.

The six charges spanned a period between May 2014 and December 2015. Cuthbertson admitted the offences and was fined £450 and ordered to pay £45 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Jeffrey Neil Sygrove, 34, of Crown Crescent Back Road: community order made including 27-day participation in Building Better Relationships course, plus £145 costs, for drunk and disorderly behaviour, possessing cannabis and failing to comply with a community order imposed for harassment by sending numerous threatening and abusive text messages.

Jamie John Taylor, 31, of Pavilion Terrace: jailed for 14 weeks, plus £80 costs and restraining order made, for assault.

Jamie Andrew Deyes, 19, of Clifton Street: fined £80 plus £105 costs for drunk and disorderly behaviour and obstructing a police officer.

Lee James Fletcher, 27, of Westover Road: community order made including 19-day participation in Thinking Skills programme and 179 hours' unpaid work over 12 months, plus £60 compensation, for two charges of assault, and breaching a community order imposed for assault and unlawfully having an offensive weapon, namely a claw hammer, in a public place.

Philip Owen Taylor, 29, of Belle Vue Street: community order made, including rehabilitation activity requirement, plus fined £50, £150 compensation and £110 costs for assault.

Silviu Marian Ilie, 28, of Princess Royal Terrace: jailed for 26 weeks suspended for 12 months, including rehabilitation activity requirement, plus fined £140 and £85 costs and banned from driving for 40 months, for drink-driving, driving while banned and driving without valid insurance.

Glen Andrew Pearson, 38, of East View, Yedingham: community order made, including 40 hours' unpaid work over 12 months, plus £50 compensation for assault.

Beverley Nalton, 51, of Maple Drive: community order made, including 250 hours' unpaid work over 12 months, plus £145 costs, for three charges of fraudulently claiming Income Support, and fraudulently claiming Job Seekers Allowance.
