Valley Bridge incident updated: Scarborough road still closed, with specially-trained officers at the scene

The bridge was closed at lunchtime after Police were called to concerns over the welfare of a young man.

The road, along with the round underneath the bridge, will remain closed while the incident is ongoing. Pedestrians and drivers are urged to avoid the area.
