Fire crews from Whitby responded to multiple reports of a fire in the open at the town's Pannett Park.

The blaze, which happened at 6.41pm on Wednesday May 18, resulted in a small fire of undergrowth near to the pagoda area.

Crews extinguished the fire using water from one hose reel jet, with the cause accidental.
