Wiggins originally made his name as a track cyclist, winning six world titles as well as his Olympic triumphs before concentrating on road racing.
He then became the first-ever Briton to win the Tour de France in 2012 and now will want to add a Tour de Yorkshire win to his CV with his new team ‘Team Wiggins’.
