The Ultimate

It may be a far cry from the countless steel rides of the modern day, but this wooden coaster is every bit as impressive and provides riders with a thrilling 1.5 mile stretch of drops and turns.

It remains the longest roller coaster in Europe with a ride time nearing six minutes, and features two lift hills of 102ft and 107ft, making it a must-ride for all coaster fans.

Riders will need a good head for heights and nerves of steel before braving this mighty 180m vertical drop tower (one of the tallest in Europe), which features an exhilarating missile launch combined with BASE-jumping all in one single ride.

Experience a taste of the Alps at this fun-fuelled water adventure park in Scarborough, where you'll find a host of family friendly flumes alongside more nerve-wracking slides like Black Run, which is the steepest and fastest of them all with a scary 11 metre drop.

The Abyss

Standing at a height of 150ft, The Abyss @ Magna is the world's highest indoor bungee jump and if the size of the drop wasn't enough to make your legs wobble, it's also set in semi darkness complete with music, video screens, dry ice and effect lighting to make the whole experience that little more terrifying.
