Celebrations launch exclusive range to battle 'festive fatigue'

The UK is feeling festive fatigue, and here's how a beloved chocolate brand is battling it

Nearly three in 10 adults (28 per cent) admit to being bored of doing the same things every year, feeling pressured by tradition.

To break free - and feel more cosy - only 12 per cent will make the effort to dress smartly on Christmas Day, with 43 per cent going all-out casual. But 24 per cent long for a mix of both, in a pair of pyjamas that are both comfortable and stylish.

To help, Celebrations – which also commissioned the research - is launching a limited-edition range of festive PJs, inspired by the nation's festive personalities.

They include a Maltesers onesie for those who are the life of the (living room) party and a beachy Bounty set, featuring shorts for those who'd prefer to be abroad.

Sarah Stagg, chief christmas officer at Celebrations, said: “We’re not saying ditch the festive traditions - we’re saying embrace them your way, whether that’s the playlist, the dinner menu, or the outfit for the big day. With Christmas Day attire always causing debate in British households (mine included!), we saw the perfect opportunity to bring our top chocolates to life in hybrid sleepwear.

“So, whether you’re glamorous like Galaxy or sporty like Snickers, there’s a pair of PJs for everyone who’s celebrating Christmas their way.”

The research went on to find 36 per cent of the 2,000 people who celebrate the season polled, want a mix of smart and casual on Christmas Day. And during the festive break, 19 per cent are likely to be found rocking PJs at an hour they’re not actually working - but 30 per cent only wear them at nighttime while sleeping.

Inspired by the iconic personalities of top-ranking fan-favourite chocolates, the playful PJ range promises Brits the best of both - attire that’s suitable for sleeping, feasting and dancing in the kitchen come Christmas night.

It features the top four of the nation’s most-loved Celebrations chocolates, as determined by the official Christmas 2025 ranking.

Ultra-limited and exclusive, fans can snag these PJs only via @ukcelebrations on Instagram, while limited supplies last.
