The Falcon Inn on the Whitby road has been a pub since at least the beginning of the last century and prior to this it was a shooting lodge for the then Lord Derwent.
The Falcon Inn on the Whitby road has been a pub since at least the beginning of the last century and prior to this it was a shooting lodge for the then Lord Derwent.
As a 19th century coaching inn, it marked the changeover point for horses making the journey between Scarborough and Whitby. Today, The Falcon Inn still continues to provides a resting place for travellers.
