Ireland not fazed by late change of opponent
Westway’s Shaun Ireland insists he isn’t bothered by another last-ditch change of opponent for his third pro fight this weekend.
Ireland has been pencilled in to fight Scotsman Michael Stupart twice in recent months, and both times he has had to pull out of the fight.
The Westway-based man now takes on 21-year-old Ryan Hanson instead, looking to maintain his impressive start as a pro.
Ireland said: “I feel more confident than ever heading into this weekend.
“I’ve shaken off the injuries I had and I’m ready to fight now, I can’t wait to get in there and it doesn’t matter who I’m fighting.
“I’d prepared for Stupart, but at the end of the day when the bell goes a fight is a fight, regardless of who is in there with you.”
Ireland has a handful of tickets left, priced at £35.
