The Scarborough fighter, now based in New York, has quickly wrapped up two first-round knockout victories in two professional fights to date, and will look to extend that run on March 17.
The 28-year-old southpaw fights on the undercard of Michael Conlon’s fight against Belmar Preciado.
Tinker said: “I can’t wait to get back in the ring.
“It’ll be great to fight at Madison Square Garden on such a big card.”
Tinker follows in the footsteps of Scarborough sporting legend Paul Ingle, who famously beat native New Yorker Junior Jones at the Garden.
