Andy Hire Scarborough Evening Cricket League move fixtures to avoid England Euro 2020 last 16 clash

League chairman John Flinton said on Tuesday night: "Given that England have topped the group tonight they now play next Tuesday evening.

"It was agreed at committee that should England play on a Tuesday to avoid arguments between clubs that all games will be played on the Thursday in the same week.

"Therefore all games scheduled for Tuesday June 29 will now be played on Thursday July 1, the play cricket website will be updated accordingly in the next couple of days.

"The respective cup draws will be circulated tomorrow, whilst this will add further fixture congestion to some clubs it is hoped all will be able to participate and get games played before the respective dates for finals, which are likely to be late July or early August."
