Fylingdales maintained top spot in Division Two with a 25-run win at closest rivals Snainton.

Robbie Hurworth’s impressive 85, putting on a century stand with Sam Webster (40), looked to be driving Dales to a massive total 1t 174-3 but Snainton fought back to dismiss the visitors for 201.

James Wilson was outstanding for the hosts with 5-33, while Rob Holt bagged 3-24.

In reply, Mike Eyre (63) and Michael Kipling (29) put on 90 for the first wicket to give the hosts a good chance, but despite an explosive 45 from 29 balls by Ryan Cooper Snainton then slipped to 178-9, Justin Mayne taking 3-43.

Third-placed Ebberston 2nds held on for a five-run home win against basement club Wold Newton to cut the gap between themselves and Snainton to two points.

Opener Jordan Welford’s excellent 83 was the mainstay of Ebberston’s 171 all out, Koppy Harrison taking 4-42.

A brilliant 81no from Newton skipper Jack Heslehurst looked to have put Newton in control of the run-chase, but they fell agonisingly short with 166-4 despite 29 from Matthew Southwell, the hosts bowling economically.

Ganton won by four wickets at home to Scalby 2nds.

The visitors lost wickets at regular intervals and only Stewart Ward’s 46no and Aidan Thomas’ 25 steered them to 150-9, Ian Cousins taking 3-14 from 10 overs.

Ian Cousins capped a fine all-round day with 48 as Ganton made it home thanks to 24no from Patrick Philpott despite Tom Hendry’s four-wicket haul for the visitors.

Paul Greenhough was the all-round star as Seamer & Irton 2nds won by 61 runs at Wykeham 2nds.

Seamer looked in deep trouble at 51-6 despite 27 from Dan Jewitt, and it took battling knocks from Greenhough (30 and Freddie Kearney (22) to steer them to 123 all out in 39 overs, Sam Owen taking 3-20.

Greenhough then claimed 3-39 as Wykeham slipped from 35-2 to 62 all out, Jake Moore taking 3-2 and Jewitt 2-17.

Mulgrave 2nds coasted to a 105-run success at home to lowly Grosmont.

Nick Gibson (52), Chris Clarkson (38), Simon Kipling (29) and Chris Spenceley (29) fired Mulgrave to 193-8, Brinton Darnell and Kaleb Gravett taking three wickets each.

Ben Duell then snapped up 4-22 as 10-man Grosmont were skittled for 88.

In Division One, leaders Folkton & Flixton 2nds eased to a seven-wicket win at Sherburn.

Charlie Colley bagged 4-16 and Lee Elvidge 3-27 as the hosts stumbled to 80 all out, James Clark’s 31 helping Flixton to a rapid victory despite Jamie Thomson’s 3-12.

Second-placed Great Habton stormed to a 101-run win at Sewerby.

Doug Bentley hit 62, fellow opener John Lumley 36 and Sam Burns 47 as Habton made 248-6, Alex Shipley taking 3-64.

Calvin Roche’s 63 was the highlight of the reply, Craig Ward adding 27 as they slipped to 147 all out, Ryan Vance taking 4-38 and StuWatmore 3-32.

Third-placed Heslerton also won comfortably, by seven wickets at Forge Valley.

Marc Dring took 4-42 as Valley posted 167-8, Charlie Baldwin making 41no, Andy Toal 32 and Harry Pinder 25.

Rob Middlewood’s imperious 81no, allied to skipper Sam Triffitt’s 45no and Rob Green’s 27 wrapped up the win.

Wykeham eased to a nine-wicket triumph at nine-man Settrington. thanks to a stunning 6-13 from Dave Pearson.

The hosts slipped to 114 all out despite efforts from Ben Corner (34) and Richard Reynolds (29).

Joe Bradshaw (44no), Ezra Pashby (42no) and Mike Dugdale (29) confirmed the win.

Jake McAleese and James Ward helped Cayton 2nds win by five wickets at promotion hopefuls Thornton Dale.

Stu Pickard took 2-43 in 10 overs as Dale posted 173-8, skipper Tim Hunt hitting 54.

Cayton 2nds looked to be heading for defeat at 33-5, Tom Snowdon taking 4-49, but first-team skipper McAleese and first-team bowler Ward hit 71no and 68no respectively to fire Cayton to victory with an excellent unbeaten sixth-wicket stand of 142.
