Ebberston B see off Scalby B in only Evening League game to beat the elements

Ebberston B secured a 27-run Division C win at Scalby B in the only AndyHire Evening Cricket League game to be played on Tuesday night in another round ruined by wet weather.

The visitors reached 106-3 thanks to 35 from Matthew Kings and Tom Holmes' 26.

Then despite a battling unbeaten 50 from opener Tim Barton, Scalby only managed 79-4.

All other games were called off due to wet grounds apart from the Division B fixture between Cayton and Scarborough, with the village club conceding.

Result: Ebberston B 106/3 (Matthew Kings 35, Tom Holmes 26) bt Scalby B 79/4 (Tim Barton 50no) by 27 runs.
