Mustoe insists the future is bright at North Marine Road
Next year’s re-shuffle of the county cricket structure could see Yorkshire’s trips to the coast diminishing.
It is expected that Yorkshire will reduce the number of games they play at their final remaining out-ground before the fixtures are released for 2017 in November.

Hide AdBut Mustoe is in constant dialogue with both Yorkshire and the ECB in a bid to ensure Scarborough doesn’t get hit too hard by the changes.
“If I had to gamble, I’d say we would end up keeping two four-day games here in Scarborough,” said Mustoe.
“The 50-over competition will be played earlier in the season from next year, and it’s not the best time to come over during May.
“We have been in constant dialogue with Yorkshire and the ECB since January and we continue to talk to them regularly.”

Hide AdNottinghamshire Outlaws are the visitors for the Royal London One Day Cup clash on Wednesday, and Mustoe is hoping for a bumper crowd to re-affirm the popularity of first class cricket by the seaside.
“The last one day game was played in poor weather so the turnout wasn’t where we’d have liked it to be,” added Mustoe.
“This is a big game for Yorkshire against a big club in Nottinghamshire and we hope to see a full house in for the game.”
Wednesday’s encounter gets underway at 11am, with tickets priced at £16 for adults and £10 concessions.
Yorkshire could include Aussie white-ball star Travis Head in their side for the clash.
The Tykes take on Leicestershire Foxes in the same competition on Sunday.
