Casey Rudd's 4-19 and 3-37 from Russ Robinson then reduced the visitors to 126-9,

Opener Edward Hopper's 25 from 70 balls gave Scarborough a solid foundation and then the last-wicket due of Charlie Hopper (7no) and Dan Robson (1no) holding firm to earn them 12 points.

Welton beat Folkton & Flixton to record their first Premier Division win since the opening day.

James Windeatt hit a half-century on that occasion and his run scoring was once again instrumental in the result, he made 69 and alongside Jack Steel, who made an unbeaten 72, added 78 for the fourth wicket.

The hosts closed on 218-6 with Harry Walmsley (3-85) responsible for half the wickets to fall although they did come at considerable cost.

Walmsley (39) and Elliot Hatton (78) put the visitors in a strong position at 150-4 following their 107-run stand but the bowling of both Luke Hills (3-23) and Thomas Copp (4-44) kept the pressure on, and they were eventually bowled out for 183.

The result brings Welton to within a point of Folkton & Flixton with both sides in the top half, with just over a quarter of the season gone.

Scarborough's home game with York in the YPLN was washed out due to the North Marine Road ground's outfield being too wet.
