Staxton then stuttered to 116-7 but a fine unbroken stand of 56 between Kyle Outhart (8no) and Mark Dove, who reached 50 on the last ball of the innings, took the score up to a superb 172-7, there were 27 extras in Staxton’s total.

In reply Cloughton B had no answer to the bowling of Mark Dove, who took match-winning figures of 6-12 with only openers Richard Ward (10), and Liam Salt (10) and number three Aaron Virr (18) showing any resistance as they were all back in the pavilion for just 66, a massive 106 runs short of their required target.
