Will Hutchinson struck 106 and Tom Norman 102 as Folkton & Flixton claimed a winning draw at home to Hunters York League Premier Division leaders Pickering.

Pickering ended up hanging on to earn a share of the points against Folkton & Flixton for who Hutchinson and Tom Norman both scored centuries.

The home side's total of 321-6, the highest recorded in this year’s competition, also included 53 from Richard Malthouse and perhaps unsurprisingly Kieran Bowes’ three wickets came at the considerable cost of 81 runs.

The visitors responded strongly through David Greenlay who made 79 and Andy Sharman 59.

Tom Norman (3-55) added three wickets to his earlier efforts with the bat to cap a fine all-round performance, but the visitors' last-wicket pair hung on ensuring their side reached the close on 241-9.

Scarborough 2nds also claimed the lion's share of the spoils in their home draw with Hull Zingari.

Scarborough’s fourth wicket pairing of Thomas Precious (86no) and Sam Carver (85) put on a stand worth 175 against Zingari, that followed a half-century from skipper Nick Zakrzewski (58) as his side reached 289-6.

James Dunning returned the best figures for the visitors taking 3-33 for eight overs.

Martin Watkin led the Zingari reply with 40 and Muhammad Ayub scored 33 but despite three wickets from Romario Brathwaite (3-31) the hosts were unable to force a victory the visitors finishing on 204-8 to earn share of the points.

A waterlogged outfield at St George’s Road meant no play was possible at all between Harrogate and Scarborough in the YPLN.
