YORK LEAGUE: Defeats for Flixton and Scarborough 2nds
Scarborough 2nds’ York Cricket League division three south promotion hopes were dented by an eight-wicket loss against Heworth 2nds, while Flixton lost by 21 runs against Acomb in division one.
Ten-man Scarborough 2nds were all out for 76 and J Draper’s unbeaten 50 ensured Heworth swept to victory.
Acomb batted first and made 190 against Acomb, Mikey Hunter taking four wickets and Jamie Nesfield three.
Neil Elvidge hit 34 in reply and Rich Malthouse 58 but Flixton could only reach 169 all out in reply.
