Beth Mead's Arsenal all set for Champions League clash with PSG

Beth Mead and her Arsenal teammates are gearing up for Champions League action after UEFA announced the schedule for the last eight of the 2019/20 competition.

The tournament will run from August 21 to August 30 at the San Mamés Stadium in Bilbao and the Anoeta Stadium in San Sebastián.

Mead said: “I’m not training with the team yet but hopefully in the next week or so we will be back and preparing for the Champions League.

“I’m so excited to play football again, but with it being the Champions League it’s extra special. I can’t wait.”

All matches will be played behind closed doors with details regarding broadcast of the fixtures to be announced.

Arsenal will take on Paris Saint-Germain in their quarter-final clash at the Anoeta Stadium, on Saturday August 22, kick-off 7pm.

The winners of that clash will then meet the winners of the Lyon v Bayern Munich quarter-final in Bilbao on Wednesday August 26.

The final will be in San Sebastián on Sunday August 30, 7pm kick-off.
