Boss Kelly insists Scarborough Athletic won’t give up on play-offs

Scarborough Athletic boss Darren Kelly has vowed to keep fighting for a play-off spot until it isn’t mathematically possible to do so.

Boro suffered a huge setback when they lost 2-0 at Ashton United on Saturday, but former Halifax and Oldham Athletic chief Kelly insists his side will battle on to try and sneak in.

“We’ll push for the play-off places until it’s impossible for us to get in there,” insisted Kelly.

“It’s frustrating for me coming in halfway through the season as I firmly believe we’d be pushing for promotion had I been here from the start, but we’ll keep trying our best.”
